The evening of the breakwater race on Plymouth Hoe saw perfect conditions for the 2 mile race. A massive crowd from Dinnaton collected on Leander steps to see the swimmers come in. In the distance through binoculars a big splash could be seen coming nearer the shore. As it came closer and closer Dinnaton swimmers recognised it as the signature "Harriet" kick. Harriet swam with incredible endurance even sprinting the finish! She finished in a time of 42 minutes against a strong tide and with a big smile. James Flanagan came in a close third which was again a fantastic achievement after only short preparation for the race. Many of the club stayed to celebrate and see Harriet recieve her trophy, she has proved herself to be an open water swimmer to watch!
